Research On Development Of Chinese Masses Tennis At The Post-Olympic Era

In2011, Li Na won the French Open, which greatly inspired the masses to love the sport, the momentum of the masses tennis development trend is accelerating. Therefore, the State Sports General Administration of tennis management center is preparing "China’s first tennis city selection evaluation" activities, in order to promote the importance of tennis to all levels of government to increase tennis participation in the mass base, and the development of the city’s tennis policy and financial support. This paper is one of them, researching the development of masses tennis in China by literature, expert interviews, logical analysis, questionnaire survey method, AHP, but also building a tennis evaluation index system of the Chinese masses tennis to assess the mass of tennis’situation in China. The system is also expected to provide some references for building China’s first tennis city selection index system.In this study, the main point are as folllows:1.The current situation of China’ s masses Tennis:few participations of urban mass tennis, the masses tennis population have a large gap compared with developed countries;competitive tennis level which will effect the masses tennis has to be improved; tennis economic development is slow; scarcity of tennis venues and facilities; uneven tennis employees levels; television media propaganda is not enough.2. Factors restricted the development of China’s masses Tennis: government support for masses tennis is not enough; the people involved in tennis is not much because of the traditional concepts; investment in tennis is lower, tennis venues, facilities are inadequate; lack of social tennis instructor.3. The meaning of building masses tennis evaluation index system in China is to promote the importance of tennis, increase policy support and funding. Through the questionnaire for experts, the author changed the initial8first-class indicators,20sub-indicators and53third-class indicators into8first-class indicators,20sub-indicators and50third-class indicators and calculated their weights by AHP, finally get the whole indexes of evaluation system of Chinese city masses tennis.4. Among the primary indexes, policies and funding of the government of the masses tennis has the most weight, and among the secondary indexes, policy, capital investment, the number of court, the quality of court, the number of training institutions, the composition of training institutions, the number of mass tennis population, the quality of mass tennis population and goals and directions of chinese masses tennis developping were arrayed in decline aceording to the weight.5.Suggestions for the constraints of current situation and development of Chinese masses tennis:deeping the understanding of Chinese masses tennis development, increasing government policy support; promoting the development of community-based, club-oriented tennis and tennis industry; strengthen tennis media propaganda;accelerating popularity of tennis start from the four groups; using various means to increase the tennis facilities development and use; broaden the channels for the training of tennis community instructors, to enhance the quantity and quality of social.
