With the development of tennis, tennis culture is formed, whose development not only promotes the mass sports and spiritual civilization construction, facilitates the economic development and international contact to some extent, but also has positive effects on promoting the national development, creating the culturai atmosphere and motivating the social harmony.This art icle starts wi th the research on the basic concept and development skeleton of tennis culture, analyzes the connotation and characteristics of the campus tennis culture, conducts the questionnaire surveys and interview surveys in15universities in Beijing where the tennis develops better to analyze and study the construction and development status of tennis culture in Bei jing universities, summarizes the opinions of many specialists and puts forward its own suggestions on the cultivation and development of campus tennis culture in Beijing universities, hoping it will have promotive impact on the development and construction of the tennis culture in Beijing or even national universities.The research results indicate that:1. University campus tennis culture is an important component of sport culture in national universities and a kind of culture taking the university students as the main part participating in the tennis and the university campus as the place to develop tennis, aiming at improving the physical quality, cultural cultivation and comprehensive ability of the university students and reflecting the ideas, value orientation and behavioral specification.2. The popularization and development of tennis culture in universities play an important role and have significance in promoting the self-cultivation and comprehensive quality of college students. 3. Most universities have the phenomenon that they don’t have correct cognition on the construction of campus tennis culture, which is represented in that the university director don’t know the connotation of campus tennis culture, that they don’t be familiar with it comprehensively, that they don’t attach much importance to it and that they don’t emphasize on the role of campus tennis culture, all of which result in that most universities can’t master the tennis culture construction system systematically and scientifically regardless of bringing in the campus tennis.Of fered suggestions:1. Increase the t ime and term of tennis curriculum and improve the course registration way.2. Strengthen the input of tennis hardware facility.3. Carry out tennis culture communication and promote the tennis culture atmosphere.4. Build male and female tennis teams with high level in our own schools.5. Establish tennis association in the campus.6. The tennis teachers in universities shall improve their teaching quality and increase their own level.
