The paper’s research object is nine male race walking athletes. Based on the research methods of on-the-spot investigation, documentary analysis, experts interview and date statistics, this paper will study the national race walking team’s training status of preparation and competition, and analysis the performance of the competition in2011. To find the training concept and training feature of the coach Nick from Russia, including the feature of preparation and competition’s training load of male race walking athletes. This paper hopes to provide realistic basis to coach and to build date base to the training of race walking.J. The training cycle characteristic of male race walking athletes coached by coach Nick from Russia:the cycle standard divided by the nature of competition, the characteristic of annual divided circle shows many cycles, coach Nick divides the cycle flexibly according to the actual training situation of athletes, the importance of competition combined with competition replacing training and competition promoting training.2. The characteristic of training plan for coach Nick from Russia:the volume of weekly averaged specific endurance and general endurance for the preparation is higher than the competition; in the whole cycle of training, the plan for specific endurance is more stable than general endurance, the variation for training plan of specific endurance shows large and more flexibility, at the same time, it is also the key characteristic of general endurance to show specific training.3. The characteristic of training plan for coach Nick from Russia:there is no sharp difference between the preparation and the competition about load allocation of general training, the overall plan is relatively stable, the volume and intensity are not high, the method and means are relatively simple, the training plan are made for the benefit of adjustment and recovery for athletes, and in order to serve athletes the rise of athletics level. 4. The characteristic of high load volume allocation for coach Nick from Russia:in the preparation, the concentrated training for high load volume should not be too long,2-3weeks is proper and it is generally arranged in the middle of the preparation, the comparison about weekly averaged load volume between Nick’s and high load volume week of altitude training, the latter accounts for40%-50%of the former. The training arrangement for high load volume should not be too frequent in the competition,1-2times is proper.5. The characteristic of high load intensity allocation for coach Nick from Russia:the phase of the concentrated training for high load volume during the preparation, the training arrangement for high load intensity should not be too frequent, it is generally2-3times; in the competition, the high load intensity training can improve the function of each organ and system in order to promote the adjustment of pre-game athletics state, the times should be more frequency between weekly high load intensity compared with high load volume.6. About load intensity arrangement for coach Nick from Russia during the competition, there is a decrease between weekly averaged specific Load volume and load intensity compared with the preparation, the arrangement for high load intensity training session and high load volume training session in the pregame training plays a key role in showing athletics level for athletes in the competition, the performance of players for high load intensity training session and high load volume training session in the pregame training is proportional to competition results...
