he sports for Chinese wheelchair racing that starts late, made a historic breakthrough in2008Paralympic Game in comparison with the2004Athens Paralympic Games. This paper selects15national wheelchair racing players as study object, and makes an objective evaluation for the current development situation of the sports by the methods of literature, questionnaires, interviews, comparative analysis, and mathematical statistics. Through comparing with the events set-up and results between2004and2008Paralympic Games, and taking means of follow-up survey on training contents, methods for preparing2008Paralympic Games, fully exploit the sport of wheelchair racing the potential for future development and provide a useful reference for sustainable development.
