This dissertation studies the operation and management mode of horse racing inHong Kong and Japanese with the using of the method of literature, comparativeanalysis and expert interview, and it is based on the theory of operation managementand guided by the model theory, and starting from the perspective of the theory ofSOM(Service Operation Management).The thesis tries to reveal the nature andcharacteristics of operation management mode of the Hong Kong Horse Racing andthe Japanese Horse Racing, and evaluate or discuss it, in order to offer some usefulreference for the development of the horse racing in china. Through the research, wecan conclude that:(1)The horse racing service operation management mode is theprocess of service operation management each link between elements and theircombination, operation process of paradigm and the rule of the activity, and on thisbasis, the establishment of the horse racing event services operation managementconcept, guiding ideology and guiding principles, and the proposed method caneffectively solve the problem and strategy system.(2) The basic rule of the horseracing service operation management is the balance of the service ability and theservice demand.(3)Under the protection and regulation of the laws,“service design”can continue to be provide.(4)The service process and contact of the horse racing inHong Kong and Japan are all normalized and programmed.(5)“Industrial methods inservice design” improve the service’s stability and efficiency.(6)The service qualityof service commitment management model has an important role in the promotion onservice quality management of horse racing in Hong Kong and Japan.
