To understand the institutions of higher sports gymnastics teacher and help protect the status of teaching, learning gymnastics and protection with the help of a gym to protect and help students to master the situation, In this paper, China’s higher education and professional sports college sports with the help of teaching gymnastics to protect the status quo for the study, Using literature and data, questionnaires, expert interviews and statistics analysis method, Reached the following conclusions:(1) At present the major sports of gymnastics in the schools and help to protect more emphasis on teaching in general, all institutions have the current arrangements that help to protect the content, and the project, the content more comprehensive action.(2) Teaching hours and the emphasis by many other effects, there are no arrangements to protect a small number of institutions teaching the theory of help and protection to help test, which will certainly affect the protection to help students master the knowledge and skills.(3) Protection and help in the teaching of gymnastics in the ability of students to teachers teaching higher overall evaluation. Mainly reflected in the teacher’s explanations, demonstrations and general teaching ability.(4) Major sports and college students in gymnastics help to protect the importance of learning both awareness and interest in it before the advent of high to low conflict, which will certainly affect the protection and help students to better grasp the knowledge and skills. (5) Questionnaire tests show that students in the methods of protection and help to master areas of knowledge and poor overall performance. Theoretical knowledge of the overall accuracy rate of only38.20%; action to protect and help the right way was65.58%.(6) Affect the current students to master knowledge and skills to help protect the main reasons to see the overall number of teaching hours, class size, assessment arrangements, student interest in learning, motivation, etc., each school is different.
