Gymnastics,known as the "father of sports",is an important teaching content of physical education in schools in our country,and has unique value for the cultivation of sports talents.This research takes the gymnastics teaching of the physical education colleges and universities in Hubei Province as the research object,and takes the coaches and athletes who participated in the 8th Hubei Provincial Colleges and Universities Sports Colleges gymnastics teaching competition as the survey objects.Using research methods such as research methods,fully understand the actual situation of gymnastics teaching in various colleges and universities,and explore problems,and put forward reasonable development strategies for improving gymnastics teaching in ordinary colleges and universities in Hubei Province.This paper draws the following conclusions:1.Gymnastics courses in 10 colleges and universities in Hubei Province are mainly based on general gymnastics for physical education majors,5 units offer specialized gymnastics courses,and other sports majors offer few gymnastics courses;although the teaching objectives and teaching content of each college are different,but The teaching goal is mainly to cultivate physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools.The teaching content is mainly based on formation,broadcast gymnastics,and skill gymnastics.The evaluation method is mainly based on comprehensive evaluation of students’ all-round development.2.The age structure and teaching age structure of teachers are younger,but the overall number of teachers is small,and the ratio of male and female teachers is large;the structure of teachers’ professional titles and educational backgrounds is single,most teachers have intermediate professional titles and master’s degrees,and high professional titles and high education are concentrated in sports Colleges and universities,which is not conducive to promoting the overall development of gymnastics programs in colleges and universities in Hubei Province.3.Teachers’ average gymnastics teaching hours vary greatly per year,and fewer gymnastics classes are also considered by teachers as the main factor hindering the improvement of teaching quality;gymnastics special classes mainly focus on small class teaching,which is convenient for teachers to organize teaching;teachers’ general gymnastics classes The number is better than the gymnastics class.4.Students in various colleges and universities are motivated to learn gymnastics,have positive attitudes,and are highly satisfied with teachers’ teaching;however,most students have not obtained gymnastics sports grades,and gymnastics foundations are relatively different;Will actively carry out additional training;most colleges are difficult to meet the needs of student gymnasts and referees grade certificates.5.There is a lack of gymnastics teaching competitions in colleges and universities.National-level college gymnastics competitions are only held once in 2017.Gymnastics teaching competitions in colleges and universities in Hubei Province are held every two years.There are insufficient school-level gymnastics competitions held in various colleges and universities,and it is difficult for students to obtain competition opportunities.The development of gymnastics in colleges and universities is extremely unfavorable.6.Teachers in various colleges are highly satisfied with the gymnastics teaching environment,but some colleges gymnastics venues have backward informatization construction,insufficient multimedia equipment,and imperfect basic gymnastics equipment,which is not conducive to the development of gymnastics teaching.7.According to the above research and existing problems,put forward seven development countermeasures: 1)Excavate the content of gymnastics teaching and add gymnastics-related courses;2)Actively implement the policy of integrating gymnastics and education,and increase the introduction of gymnastics teachers;3)Create "Internet + ""Gymnastics teaching mode;4)Explore the application channels for gymnastics-related grades;5)Optimize the setting of gymnastics competitions in colleges and universities in Hubei Province;6)Add competition rewards that suit the actual situation of teachers and students;7)Strengthen the construction of gymnastics courses and improve the teaching environment.
