Reaseach On The Present Situation Of Tennis Development And Its Countermeasures Among Ordinary Colledges In Yantai

Tennis, golf, horse riding and racing and is called the world four big noble sport, at thesame time, tennis, golf, bowling and billiards is also known as the four gentleman’s game. AsChina’s political, economic and cultural development, people’s living standard and life qualityrise ceaselessly at the same time, tennis also gets developing quickly, become exercise means,in this context, The universities tennis movement also gained popularity.The launching of thecollege tennis can make the students build their body, entertain themselves, improve theirtaste and cultivation, develop their interests, and also allow students to master the expertise oftennis to expand employment channels into the community. In addition, the development ofthe college tennis can promote the culture of students’ playing life-long tennis, which willmake the students continue to maintain the tennis later in life, thus affecting the close relatives,friends or colleagues, and promoting the development of tennis indirectly.The object of this study is the present situation of the college tennis in Yantai City.Through the survey of the Tennis Campaign in14colleges and universities in Yantai City, wemainly analyzed its shortcomings and the need for improvement, and provided comparativelymore scientific and reasonable countermeasures and method of guidance for its developmenttheoretically.The study shows that:1. among14colleges and universities in Yantai City, exceptShandong Cultural Industry Vocational College, Yantai Trade Senior Technician School,Yantai Institute of Automotive Engineering, and Shandong College of Traditional ChineseMedicine, the other10colleges and universities have begun the tennis teaching. However, theteaching effectiveness is subject to be improved, the teaching materials are mainly othercollege textbook-based or barely exist, the student’s density in tennis class is too large, andappraisal of tennis lessons is also in urgent need of further reform and adjustment.2.In YantaiCity, most college tennis teachers’ qualifications are not high, professional and technicalcapacity is limited, teaching experience is single and teaching time is not long.3. There is aserious shortage of facilities and equipment of tennis in Yantai City College, which makes itdifficult to meet the students’ need of learning. The tennis operation in extracurricular time isgeneral, which is mainly activities for teachers and students, and part of the university tenniscourts are subject to paying fees.4.Yantai City colleges and universities have a lower proportion of the tennis club, and its development needs to be improved with the pooroperation of after-school tennis.5. Most Yantai college and university leaders support for thedevelopment of tennis.Solutions: First, speed up the tennis facilities, at the same time, make the number oftennis lessons and student density in class scientifically, based on their own venues andequipment, their faculty, and the number of students. Make rational methods of evaluation forthe promotion of development of tennis scientifically, reasonably, and steadily. Second, focuson team building and training of teachers, enhance the ability level of tennis teachers. Third,make the existing tennis courts under scientific management, use social capital at all channels,and improve the courts utilization. Fourth, increase the attention and investment on theconstruction of tennis professionals, strengthen the building and training of college tennisclubs, and improve the management system of tennis competition gradually. Fifth, increasethe publicity of the tennis; cause the attention of the leaders and their substantial support fortennis. Sixth, increase the cultivation for outstanding students so as to help teachers carry outthe training after class and organization and promotion of tennis match.
