Yantai Comparative Analysis And Current Situation Of The Development Of Tennis In Zibo City

As we all know, as one of the most aristocratic and most gentlemanly sportin the world, tennis is popular around the world. With the improvement ofour social and economic level, people in life are constantly looking forhealthier and richer ways and means of exercise. In such environment, tennisis rising and developing. And among many universities, tennis has beendeveloping unprecedently. Obviously, tennis in Colleges, can not only reachthe purpose of exercising and recreation, but also cultivatestudents interests which can make them to master this special skill.Itprovides new opportunities for college students to broaden the channels ofemployment.In this paper, we use the methods of literature, questionnaire, expertinterviews, mathematical statistics, field observation to study the currentsituations of college tennis in Yantai and Zibo. This research is aimed atcomparing and analyzing the tennis development statuses of19universitiesof Yantai and Zibo. We select four universities where tennis programs havebeen carried out and analyze the comparisons aimed at finding out what arethe reasons affecting the tennis to carry out in these two cities and theexisting shortcomings and space to improve.The results show that:1. There are diversified reasons why universitystudents like tennis. After the development of nearly10years, the motivationto like tennis has changed from social interaction and displaying themselvesand gradually return to the physical fitness and recreation.2. The numberof courts is the primary factor restricting the carry-out of university tennisin Shandong province, and as it severely limits the tennis teaching, manyinstitutions charge their sites in the leisure time and holidays.3. Due tothe impact of teaching methods and the quality of teachers, the degree ofpopularity of college tennis teaching in Shandong Province is not high. Andthe tennis sports are not well adopted in the after-school physical activities,so the lack of qualified teachers is also an important reason for tennismovement is restricted.4. With the serious deficiencies of existing tennisteams and tennis associations the development of amateur tennis is not verygood in Shandong province generally, which is an important issue that Shandongprovince must face.5. tennis facilities, campus culture, the consumptionawareness of student sports directly affects the development of universities tennis sports in Shandong Province, although in recent years the universitiestennis sports have greatly improved but are still not good enough.Solutions: First, accelerate the construction of tennis facilities, whileuniversities define scientifically the credits and student density of tennislessons according to their own space equipment, faculty, student number etc...Also they should formulate rational evaluation methods to improve tennismovement scientifically, reasonably and steadily on the existing basis.Second, focus on building and training of teachers, and enhance the abilitylevels of tennis teachers. Third, manage the existing tennis courtsscientifically, utilize social capital from multiplied channels and improvethe space utilization. Fourth, enhance the training of outstanding tennisstudents training and let them help teachers tutor after class, organize andadvertise the tennis tournament. Fifth, increase the public advertising oftennis, attaching it to the attention of the leaders and hoping for theirsubstantial support.
