Human society has entered into information network age, and oral communicatingability is the basic capability requirement. The oral communication teaching in highschool not only is the important part of new course standard in Chinese teaching, butalso has important significance for students’ personal development. Effective approachof improving oral communication ability can sustainably promote students such ability,which induct studying behavior, cultivate studying ability, and then impact student selfdevelopment.In recent years, how to improve high school students’ oral communication ability isbecoming a very hot topic which are discussed by more and more specialists andteachers, however, a lot of reasons like university entrance examination pressure,limited courses etc. cause the phenomenon of theory from practice during the Chineseteaching in high school.The purpose of this paper is to explore effective approaches of improving studentsoral communication ability based on the currently teaching status. These effective waysinclude induction during daily teaching, developing some activities for Chinese class,leveraging some school’s activities and building up high school students oralcommunication network, which can guarantee practice in and off the class, balancingbetween theory and practice. This paper also discuss how to build up and implement theefficient evaluation system, so as to promote the fully development of students oralcommunication ability.
