With the increasing development of national economy, the standards of live are improving continue as well as the ideas. More and more city residents get rid of the shackles of the traditional fertility culture, and a new birth concept proposed by government gets popularity in the city. However, urban residents who are born in different years (60,70,80) are difference to accept of a new birth concept and acceptance.In this paper, Bourdieu’s field theory was used to investigate the differences of intergenerational fertility wishes in the city. Three factors were used to explain the differences of intergenerational fertility wishes under a unified analytical framework, which were the effect of socio-economic and political, and family structure, and the characteristic differences of personal preference. The reasons to course the differences of intergenerational fertility wishes were analyzed and discussed in the perspective of macro, madhyamika and micro respectively. The results showed that the social institutional arrangements and forms of social organization, family structure, as well as differences in educational level had varying degrees of significant impact on the differences of intergenerational fertility wishes.We predicted the evolution trend of the future fertility wishes and maternity concept in the city on the base of the study of differences of intergenerational fertility wishes of urban residents. The results showed that childbearing attitudes of urban residents had been constantly strengthened,"fewer and healthier births" and "boys and girls are the same" fertility concept is becoming the dominant. Pension issues coursed by fewer birth, and the risks of raising children should be kept in mind. This paper suggested that the system construction of the social security system should be improved, and the corresponding measures should be strengthened, the family planning policy should be timely adjusted, and the negative impact of an aging society trend should be actively defused, and intergenerational equity and social harmony should be promoted.
