Research On Hospice Care From The Perspective Of Field Theory

With the development of society and the improvement of people's living standards,more and more attention is paid to spiritual needs.As a spiritual need,hospice care has been regarded as a right owned by every citizen,and it has also become an important criterion for measuring a social civilization.Hospice patients are one of the service groups of social workers,so they should pay attention to the problems and needs in this field,and provide professional services for improving the quality of life of patients at the end of life.Hospice care has gone through more than 30 years in China,but the level of development and quality have not reached the expected results,and the needs of most hospice groups cannot be met,and the right to peace cannot be guaranteed.The reason is that there is a lack of guidelines at the macro level and a lack of practical skills at the micro level.In addition,there are few researchers who analyze hospice as a "social entity" from the meso level,so as a whole,there is no way to talk about the development status and problems.Based on those problems,this study starts from the middle perspective of hospice care,takes hospice care as an analysis object as a whole,and uses Bourdieu's field theory to construct and study it.First,use the framework of field theory to construct the field of hospice space and show the overall state of hospice.The hospice care field is a "sub-field" of the entire social field.Various subjects in the field occupy different positions,and the corresponding power is obtained through the capticals conferred by the position.Power flows along the relationship between the subjects,disciplines the surrounding subjects,obtains more capticals,and expands the original power,thus forming a space of repeated struggle.Secondly,through the perspective of the constructed hospice field,combined with the analysis of examples,it is found that there are many problems in the hospice field,such as unknown subjects,deprivation of resources,complex relationships,power disciplines,and obstacles of habitus.In order to find a solution,in the second half of this study,the focus was shifted from external meso-analysis to internal micro-description,with a medical worker with more than 30 years of hospice experience as a breakthrough,to analyze her oral experience of service,to reappear its typical service concepts and methods,to abstract resistance strategies of contributing to the patients who are dyingfrom it,and to provide reference and guidance for social workers to intervene in the field of hospice care.
