This thesisanalyzes the children toy facilities, which is a branch of children toys. With this topic,theories about the growing process of children’s psychology are studied; ordinarychildren toys and toy facilities are investigated carefully. In addition, the authorinvestigated the influence of the crawling facilities on children’s psychology. A fancynovel toy facility for crawling with excellent materials is deliberately designed. As agood companion in the growing process of children, this facility can improve children’sabilities of cognizance, perception, esthetic and balance. Furthermore, it can practice thecommunication ability, foster the memory ability, develop the logic ability, enhancetheir creativity and increase their patience.This thesis is composed of five chapters, covering from the general to the detailed,also from the theoretical to the practical.Firstly, the current status of research in this topic is reviewed, both domestic and alien.Secondly, based on the development of children’s psychology, the features of children’sperception and the feeling integration theory, the key of the novel design of children toyfacilities is found. The influence of the crawling facility on the growth of children isexploited. The main aim of the crawling facility is to offer children a safe,intelligence-beneficial and independent kingdom. Therein the harm caused by sharpangle should be avoided and the novel and interesting designs which are helpful todevelop children’s intelligence should be included. Here, crawling labyrinthine isdesigned. The main body is made up by several colorful, portable and telescopiccylinders with different lengths. This facility can be used both inside and outside of thedoor. At the same time, one or more cylinders of arbitrary shapes can be chosen andintegrated based on the children’s need and the restriction of the environment. Thiscrawling labyrinthine obeys the principle of entertainment, safety, funny, growth andvariability. It outperforms the counterparts on the low cost and the vast space providedfor children. Its capability of combination and variability will challenge children tofoster their patience, inspire their interests of learning and exploring, thus promotechildren’s physical and mental development.
