In order to adapt the development of society for talent, the current of globe changes ofeducation and let students form good characteristics and healthy personality, it has beenput into the field of course standard and is as important as training of morals,intelligence and body, which is training students to obtain the ability of taste sentiment.The taste sentiment in the field of Chinese teaching is guiding students to form healthyinterest and ability of tasting. Its aim is enhancing students’ Chinese quality, forminggood characteristics and healthy personality. It has been pointed in the ‘New Coursestandard’ that letting students obtain the ability of independence, corporation andresearch.With the development of ‘course change’, the concept of ‘Chinese flavor’ was given outin2001by Mr. Chen Shaotang, a researcher of Chinese teaching from Shenzhen teaching research institute. After about ten years research and practice, the theory of ‘Chineseflavor’ has been created and being grown mature. It has two kinds of defines, generally,‘Chinese flavor’, on the basement of knowledge teaching, is a kind of mode which makes Chinese class more interesting, tasteful and elegant. This theory used to be a primaryconcept, but it is gradually accepted as a normal word and has been popular in China. Inthe guide of this theory, some public lectures from Mr. Chen, such as ‘Hehua Ding’, have deep influence in the field of Chinese teaching. In general view, the genre of ‘Chinese flavor’, Mr. Chen is the leading person, is forming and growing nowadays.This paper aims to discuss and analyze the content of ‘Chinese flavor’ teaching,including the background, character and mode. Through it, we can guide ‘Chineseflavor’ teaching to our Chinese class in the atmosphere of independence, corporationand research, achieving the goal of quality training and developing students’ ability ofusing Chinese.
