The significance of History of mathematics for mathematics education has been recognized by Western historians of mathematics, mathematicians and mathematics educators early in the19th century. History of mathematics merged into middle school mathematics education can inspire students interest in learning; Allow students to understand the history of mathematics origin and development; Master the mathematical thoughts and methods; develop a hard study and a rigorous scientific spirit; Allow students to appreciate diversity of cultural;then improve their human qualities.This article explores the value of history of mathematics for the mathematics education, the ways and means that History of mathematics merge into middle school mathematics education, specifically through a few cases for analysis.This paper studies several issues:1.Through literature review and theoretical analysis, correctly understand the relationship between the history of mathematics and mathematics, mathematics education, learners, educators, mathematical culture, Intended to illustrate the status and value of the history of mathematics in mathematics teaching and learning issues.2.Through the teaching situation of mathematics content in the curriculum standard textbook of compulsory courses newly published by People’s Education Press, explore the effective ways and means of history of mathematics merge into the mathematics education.The history of mathematics merge into the mathematics education can be through the following means and methods.1.Merge the history of mathematics into start course teathing,can make students understand the status and role of mathematics curriculum in the history of mathematics development, encourage them to gain some knowledge from learning content of the Semester or the unit.2.Merge the history of mathematics into the concept of teaching, enhance the students knowledge and understanding of concepts,at the same time to stimulate students interest in mathematics;3.Merge the history of mathematics into the theorem teaching, can make students understand the theorems generation process and can deepen the understanding of the theorem.4.Merge the history of mathematics into the formula teaching, We can see the formula generation process and its role.5.Merge the history of mathematics into the methods of teaching, the students appreciate and learn the Intelligent, ideas and fighting spirit.6.Merge the history of mathematics into the famous mathematical problems teaching, experience and insights mathematical ideas and methods.7.Talk about the story of the mathematicians, stimulate students interest in mathematics, learn the mathematicians study attitude and spirit.In this paper, based on reading a large number of related papers and books, it actively introduces some of the latest results of the domestic HPM scholars in recent years, and references to many investigate reports and master’s thesis and PhD thesis,and it obtain some conclusions. It can help teachers to properly understand the relationship between the history of mathematics and mathematics education, so that they can make good use of the history of mathematics to improve their teaching, make it as a part of learning mathematics,and make preliminary exploration and try for history of Junior middle school mathematics and teaching of mathematics Culture.
