Social Benefit Of City Landscape Architecture Research

With the sphere of great urbanization in china,the urban gardens turns to be a key part of the constructing and developing of modern city.Researchers have done lots of work on the urban gardens all the way,but they have put their eyes on the economic benefits and the environmental benefits.This paper took xi’an as example to give a discourse on the urban gardens with the differentoutlook of the social benefit.The first chapter is the introduction,and the aim is to show the background of the status quo of the urban gardens at xi’an and abroad,the significance of the social benefit of the urban gardens.The paper also done some review of the past and gave the explanation of the method of this one.The second chapter elaborated the relationship of the urban gardens and the urban competitiveness.To be more specefic, the paper gave the social benefit by the urban gardens have the effect of upgrading the soft power on cities. And took the examples of the function of cultural carrying and spreading,and the paper gave seven respects to made the illustration of how the urban gardens reflect the urban culture to be the brand image of the urban.The third chapter introduced the relationship of the urban gardens and the sustainable development of the urban.And introduced the great urban garden upgraded the spacialstructure and the tangible benenfits.The forth chapter introduced the effect of the construction of the urban gardens on the happiness of the citizens by the method of questionnaire and the depth interviews. The conclusion part gave some suggestion of how to improve the social benefit of the urban gardens after the field research.
