The globalization of "low-carbon revolution" has been arisen, after following agriculture, industrialized, informatization tide, humans also will enter the fourth wave, namely with "low consumption, low pollution, low emissions" as the foundation of new era. To solve the world’s climate and environment problems, low-carbonization is a fundamental way, is the route one human development must take, is a global development. The low-carbon era has not just a simple technical or economic problem, but a comprehensive problem which relates to economic, social and multi-level environmental system.. Therefore, with the low-carbon era, higher education idea has been used as a hot social problem, will gain new development.This paper’s research object is the idea of China’s higher education, which put it in a low-carbon age background, and with gradualism model and innovation theory as the theoretical basis, in order to depict the prospect of China’s higher education idea development in low-carbon era, and also to explore the idea of China’s higher education development path in low-carbon, so as to guide China’s current higher education reform practice. The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction. This section describes the main content of the problem, the significance of the study, the main content and methods, analysis the status of domestic and international research on low-carbon era and the idea of higher education, raises the lack of current research, and propose future research trends.The second chapter focuses on combing the relationship between low-carbon era and the idea of higher education. First define the meaning and main characteristics of the low-carbon age, and thus to clarify the content and features of the higher education, then analysis the relationship between the changes of the era and the idea of higher education, and the last analysis the relationship between low-carbon era and the idea of higher education.The third chapter reviews the course of development of the era of change and the foreign ideas of higher education. On the one hand, elaborated the times change and the foreign ideas of higher education, introduced the idea of development of the agricultural era and the medieval European universities and also the industrial era and modern European and American University of higher education idea and the information age and the contemporary world of higher education philosophy; and then analysis times change and the development of the idea of higher education, introduced the agricultural era and the idea of the ancient Chinese higher education philosophy, the industrial age and modern Chinese higher education idea,the information age and contemporary Chinese higher educationThe fourth chapter analysis the idea of China’s higher education development in low-carbon era.. First introduced the necessity of the idea of the development of higher education in the era of low-carbon, that is, the requirements of the law of development of higher education, shortage of resources for higher education is increasingly scarce and the globalization spread of low-carbon thought; and then set idea development goals of higher education, which is a low-carbon era of namely the idea of eco-development of higher education, higher education green management philosophy and higher education of low-carbon personnel training; the final development goals based on the idea of higher education in low-carbon era of reality to the idea of higher education in low-carbon era.The fifth chapter explores the idea of the development of higher education in the era of low-carbon path. This paper presents the theoretical basis for the development of low-carbon era of higher education philosophy, model and innovative theory of gradualism; ideas of higher education in the era of low-carbon development principles, international and national character of the principle of combining ecological type and the development of combined principles, innovation and feasibility of the principle of combining real; introduced the idea of higher education under the implementation of security in the low-carbon era..The low-carbon era is the future direction of social development, the idea of higher education development process is also a long-term exploration, ceaseless summary procedure, Therefore,the study of Chinese Higher Education idea in low-carbon era, which is one of main directions of research in future education, should pay high attention to the ideas of China’s higher education development trend.
