The Grade Six pupils enter a particular stage in pressure andpsychological change, prone to different degrees of mental fatigueproblems in the learning process, and influence the students’ physicaland mental health, academic performance and the normaldevelopment of the teachers’ teaching work.I took the Grade Six pupilsin Wuxi as an object of study in this paper, and surveyed525of themfrom8different primary schools through questionnaires about mentalfatigue made of myself. The results are as follows:Firstly, the mentalfatigue of Grade Six pupils takes on a moderate type distribution. Thereis distinct difference according to different subjects and marks whilethere is little difference as far as school type and sex are concerned.Teachers of schools and students’ parents must draw attention to a fewof the students have serious mental fatigue.Secondly, among all thefactors leading to mental fatigue of Grade Six pupils, anxiety, that is,worrying about they can’t enter a perfect middle school plays adominant part.Thirdly, according to this survey, most Grade Six pupilsare aware of their present situation of mental fatigue clearly, andunderstand the steps and countermeasures overall how to relieve theirmental fatigues. They still need more attention and help from teachersand parents.So in the paper, some feasible steps and countermeasuresabout how to relieve mental fatigue of Grade Six pupils were offeredrespectively to teachers and parents.
