Job seeking is an important process where a person can take his human capital into economic capital. In the process of seeking a job, a person often depends not only on his own human capital, but also will choose to mobilize various kinds of social capital of his individual and his family. These can help him to achieve good effect of seeking job. The social capital which the job seeker makes good use of mainly comes from his constructed a job-seeking network. The job-seeking network is also the research object of this paper. Research of the job-seeking network is an important research area in the research of social network, in nearly30years all the experts and scholars began to pay attention to this area. However, because the research of job-seeking network is based on quantitative research, this research can often waste a lot of human material and financial resources. This condition makes this kind of research difficult to make a breakthrough.Professor Bian Yanjie organized a survey named "The questionnaire survey of urban citizen’s social network and professional experience" in2009. The survey data we called8-city survey data. This paper uses this survey data to analyze the influencing factors of the job-seeking network comprehensively in order to find out the inherent law of job-seeking network, in the base of reviewing the results of the past scholars. This research mainly divided into the following several parts:In the first part, put forward the research subjects and the research object, and point out the purpose and significance of this study, and the innovation of this paper. In the second part, comb the literature on previous research of job-seeking network, analyze the results and conclusions of these research, and search for the appropriate theory basis of my paper. At the same time, absorb the advantage of the previous research and find out the deficiency of previous research. In this study, I want to add the shortcomings of previous research. In the third part, put forward the research methods and research hypotheses. This research mainly adopts quantitative research methods, and comes to the conclusions by the statistical analysis of the eight-city survey data. Due to the job-seeking network is a large concept, first of all I will make the concept detailed. I will divide job-seeking network into four measuring dimension, respectively is whether to use network, the scale of job-seeking nets, relation types of job-seeking nets (relative, friends and met relations), and relations resource of job-seeking nets (the information resources, the human resources). According to the conclusion of former research and the idea of the self study, put forward the research hypotheses. In the fourth part, I will divide the influencing factors of job-seeking nets into the social population factors, structural factors and regional factors. According to the four measuring dimensions of job-seeking nets, analyze the different effects on the social population factors (gender, age, education level, identity politics), structural factors (unit properties, account properties, and economic system) and regional factors on the four measuring dimensions of job-seeking nets, and do the correlation test.In the last part, according to four different measuring dimension, build regression model and analyze the society population factors, structural factors and regional factors how to influence the job-seeking nets, and draw the conclusion.
