An Analysis Of The Path Of The Development Of Medical Social Work In Contemporary China

With the improvement of people’s living standards, as well as the development of the harmonious society, medical social work develops faster and faster in China and the professional team of medical social workers becomes stronger and stronger. The medical social work in China’s development is in the fledgling stage, medical social work is groping forward. So the research of the medical social work’s development of the contemporary Chinese has great significance in theory and practical aspects.The theme is analyzed the path of the development of medical social work in contemporary China. Make Jinan S Hospital as the example, used qualitative research methods to collect the materials of Jinan S Hospital medical social work’s development process, the present situation and the problems. To do case studies, and take the program of relief renal failure for example, described the contents of the medical social work, including psychological, physical and social etc.The research found the promoting factors in the development of the medical social work in S hospital, that is, the policy for expanding, the hospital’s internal conditions and the development about medical social work; Restriction factors, for example, can’t mobilize enough resources, have no perfect position system, lack of human resource, the related system is not perfect and medical social workers’role is not clear and so on.Through the material analysis, the author tries to used the social system theory to discuss the possible path of medical social work’s development in contemporary China, namely to use the advantages, overcome the disadvantages, clear the position about medical social work in social system, and developed into a more mature medical social work department. This need "four conditions":a support social environment, a rich resource relation network, a group of conscious demand groups and a leadership support. From this, it can promote the development of the medical social work department and make a research about China medical social work department organization structure model. From different aspects, the research gives different advices. The research also analyzes the medical social work’s function orientation from the social aspect, economic aspect, the policy aspect and the influence about international and domestic.
