Three decades of Reform and Opening-up, China’s economic construction has made outstanding achievements. However, lots of problems have been found on people’s mental health. Sub-health group is increasing year by year. Mental health has been subject of western academy, and research of the problem has started in China from2000, but at the level of description. Traditionally, married men have been regarded as mainstay of the family; their mental health and which factors have influenced their mental health are main contents of this paper. Masculinity studies, as an extension of Women’s study, has made great progress in the1980s. In recent twenty years, masculinity research has developed well at home and abroad, I try my best to discuss mental health of married men by adopting masculinity, a new perspective. In this paper, through analysis of the data from2011"Men and Gender Equality" project, the aim is to get the description of mental health of married men, and deeply interviewing four married men, then let readers to understand which factors influence their mental health. From the study, we found that:from all of interviewers,20percent of married men in last week have experienced depression. I also found that10percent of people in their all lifetime have thought to end their lives, and5percent of them have attempted to end their lives. I had regarded these factors as the control variables, such as, age, education and income; I also had regarded these factors as the independent factors for depression and suicidal thoughts, such as, childhood trauma, life satisfaction, poverty level and violence between intimated relationships. We find that such males are more possible to occur mental health problem, higher score on childhood trauma, worse intimated relationship, lower life satisfaction and much poorer life..Meanwhile, life practice has proved the results of quantitative research.
