Objective:Under The Dual-Factor Model of Mental Health(DFM),the mental health of college students is investigated, and the influencing factors and mechanisms of positive and negative indicators of college students’mental health are explored. On this basis,Application of class group psychological counseling based on positive psychology theory for intervention verification.to provides theoretical reference and empirical basis for improving the mental health of college students.Methods:(1)Using character strengths, cognitive emotion regulation strategies, simple coping styles,12 general mental health and life satisfaction questionnaires to conduct a questionnaire survey of 1,000 college students from two universities in Guizhou Province, and establish a structural equation model;(2)Two classes(experimental class/control class)were selected.Participants in the experimental class completed the class group psychological counseling intervention experiment based on positive psychology theory for 16 weeks, once a week,90 minutes each time;the control class did not intervene. After the intervention,a questionnaire analysis of the mental health changes of the two classes and a comprehensive evaluation of the after-class evaluation feedback were conducted. Results:Study 1:(1)The distribution of the mental health status of college students:susceptible(56%)>healthy(23%)>diseased(18.2%)>symptomatic but satisfied(2.8%);college students’mental health There are significant differences in the distribution of status in different student sources, different poverty experiences, whether they are subsistence allowances, and grades(χ~2=21.36,9.78,10.35,64.97,p<0.05);College students with different mental health status have significant differences in the scores of character strengths, cognitive emotion regulation strategies, and coping styles(F=27.56~34.56,6.68~29.68,10.14~37.52,p<0.05).(2)College students’character strengths, cognitive emotion regulation strategies, coping styles, general mental health, and life satisfaction are significantly positively or negatively correlated(r=-0.19~0.46,p<0.01);Positive cognitive emotion regulation and positive coping styles have a significant chain mediating effect between character strengths and the negative index of college students’mental health(general mental health),with an effect value of-0.02,accounting for 2%of the total effect, the direct effect of character strengths on the general mental health of college students is significant, with an effect value of-0.21,accounting for 25%of the total effect.Positive cognitive emotion regulation and positive coping styles have a significant chain-like mediating effect between character strengths and positive indicators of college students’mental health(life satisfaction),with an effect value of 0.02,accounting for 2%of the total effect. The direct effect of character strengths on the life satisfaction of college students is 0.28,accounting for 34%of the total effect.Study 2:(1)After the intervention in the experimental class, the positive index level of college students’mental health increased significantly(t=-3.34,p<0.001),while the negative index level did not change significantly(p>0.05).Among them, the mental health indicators of"healthy"and"symptomatic but satisfied"college students did not produce significant changes(p>0.05);the positive indicators of mental health of"susceptible"college students improved significantly(t=-3.34,p<0.001),the negative indicators did not produce significant changes(p>0.05);the negative indicators of the mental health of"diseased"college students decreased significantly(t=13,p<0.05),and the positive indicators did not produce significant changes(p>0.05).(2)In the control class, without intervention, the positive and negative indicators of college students’mental health did not change significantly(p>0.05),and the positive indicators of“healthy”college students’mental health decreased significantly(t=2.32,p<0.05),the negative indicators did not produce significant changes(p>0.05);the negative indicators of"susceptible"college students’mental health increased significantly(t=-2.24,p<0.05),while the positive indicators did not change significantly(p>0.05);The positive and negative indicators of mental health of"symptomatic but satisfied"and"diseased"college students did not produce significant changes(p>0.05).Conclusion:From the perspective of the dual-factor model of mental health, both the positive and negative indicators of college students’mental health are directly affected by character strengths.Positive cognitive emotion regulation and positive coping also have a significant mediating effect between the positive and negative indicators of character strengths and college students’mental health.Class group psychological counseling based on the theory of positive psychology can significantly improve the positive indicators of college students’mental health, which is an effective intervention means to prevent the"susceptible"population with relatively poor stability from transforming into the direction of disease. |
