The development of biological science is the fastest in natural science in the21st century. Biological science literacy is an indispensable part of science literacy. In order to enhance the scientific literacy of our citizens, we must do the corresponding training from children. The senior high school is the key stage to develop science literacy. So the new<Biology Curriculum Standard> of high school will"improve the biological scientific literacy of students,"as one of the basic curriculum ideas. Biology is a science based on experiments, which play very important part in study and development of biology.Based on the above point of view, the thesis discusses how to improve the biological scientific literacy of students through BIO-X-LAB interest group after class activity. BIO-X-LAB is the new after class activity pattern which is based on biology knowledge with the help of other subjects. The thesis has some innovative.Under the direction of educational and psychological theories concerned, the thesis which is based on the analysis of the <Biology Curriculum Standard> and the situation of students. With the method of literature, investigation and experiment, the thesis do the research on51students in our school. In51,24of them always take part in the BIO-X-LAB activities, the other27is not. The24students is considered to be test group, the other27is antitheses group. Test time is one academic year. The results with test treatment and analysis of investigation, at last we can find that it can improve ability of student by means of after class activities based on BIO-X-LAB. With the help of BIO-X-LAB,students get more knowledge and scientific attitude.The research results can help teachers to get precious experience to carry out this kind of research in teaching.
