Abstract:Information technology course is a basic subject to middle school students, and it is the foundation for further study of other subjects. The students come from different places, so the computer levels are different, and the needs for learning are completely diverse. The good students can operate computer well. The students whose foundation is bad will lose the passion and confidence to learn information technology. The traditional teaching way bounds the students’thought. At the same time, all the students were unified required, so the teaching way can’t meet all the students. Therefore, the reform for teaching mode is necessary.We have a group of teaching experiments in information technology course. According the different levels of the students, teachers have different teaching modes. So every student will get their own knowledge which they need. Through the layer teaching, we found that the students who can finish the tasks in class are more than the students in the traditional teaching way. Through the layer teaching, the proportion of students who are interested in the information technology increased from45%to66%, while the students in the traditional teaching way changed little. So the layer teaching can improve the students’ enthusiasm of learning information technology and can improve the students’ grades.
