The studies on vocational values have garnerd particular attention in recent years. Some studies have shown that personality factors and achievement motivation have certain influences on vocational values. However, it is insufficient to study on their relationship and mechanism of action among the three items. The overall situation, differences and associations about the college students’ personality traits achievement motivation and vocational values are investigated in this research by means of questionnaire survey and quantitative analysis. The conclusions are listed as follow.1. The personality traits of college students distribute evenly as a whole and openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness are relatively prominent.2. College students are, on the whole, with positive achievement motivation. Motivation of pursuing success is higher than motivation of avoiding failure.3. The vocational values of College students are diversified and distribute evenly. In the choosing of vocational traits, college students tend to make much account of maintenance of family, personal development and career matching.4. The personality traits of college students has significant difference on gender:Girls’ scores on several traits are much higher than those of the boy students. There are also differences on major:the scores in neuroticism trait of students in art are higher than those of students in science&engineering, but there is no difference on grade.5. The college students’ achievement motivation has not differences on gender and major, but it appears significant grade differences:the achievement motivation of senior students is lower than that of students in other grades.6. There are significant differences of college students’ vocational values on gender:girls get high scores on several factors of vocational values than that of boy students. Differences also exist among grades:students in higher grades are more realistic than those in lower grades. Vocational values Differences among different majors are not presented.7. The personality traits of college students, the achievement motivation and the vocational values correlate with each other in a certain extent.8. Some of college students’ personality traits are significant predicators of vocational values.9. Achievement motivation has moderating effect on the relationship between personality trait and vocational values.
