The teaching skills of normal students showing a downward trend in a long time, who are lack of teaching skills and aren’t able to complete the teaching task.However, the teacher is the engineer of the human soul, the students are the sun of tomorrow and the future of our motherland. Only an outstanding teacher to be able to teach good students. Level of teachers’ professional quality impact on the development of students and learning efficiency in directly, the training of normal school students has been the concern of the community. Although several comprehensive education reform developed by Ministry of Education, didn’t achieve the desired effect and the teaching skills of normal students still showing a downward trend.The main purpose of Microteaching Exercise is to improve the students’ teaching skills which has a significant effect. So, strengthen the practice of microteaching, change the students’ and teachers’ thinking is particularly important in this situation. The purpose of this paper is improve the students’ teaching skills and thinking ability by developing the critical thinking of students, strengthen the microteaching practice and change the mode of thinking. Microteaching is a effective means for training students’ teaching skills in normal university, which has its own uniqueness and superiority, the critical thinking is a good analysis of daily thinking ability.With the pedagogics as the theoretical basis, the Microteaching and critical thinking in accordance with the principle of teaching of the premise, the experiment, questionnaire, interviewing, Mathematical Statistics, logical analysis and references are combined in this paper, hope to be able to promote students’ teaching skills by cultivating the students’ critical thinking skills. The paper summaried the definition of critical thinking and microteaching, the development of both at home and abroad, characteristic and relationship of critical thinking and microteaching, the principle and necessity of microteaching for cultivate students’ critical thinking.The discrepancies toward critical thinking between physical education majors and unartistically sports students are studied by questionnaire, the reason are also be analysed.The role and value of promote students’ teaching skills in though cultivate students’ critical thinking skills in microteaching is checked by experiment.
