Sichuan Xinchen Sports Art School Development Model Research

At present, the development of private swimming schools andclubs in China is still in the primary stage. Sichuan Xinchen Physical Culture ArtSchool (hereinafter referred to as "Xinchen School")was started by four peoplerenting two lanes in1997.And after15years, it becomes a private school with fivebranches and nearly a hundred employees. This school has successfully trained worldfamous athletes like Jiang wen wen and Jiang ting ting who won a silver medal in2008Olympic games and many high levels swimmers. From November in2011to Februaryin2012, more than10media including the Chinese Sports have reported the success ofXinchen School. However, through analyzing the present situation of the privateswimming schools and clubs in China, management failures are too numerous tomention. Success like Xinchen School can be numbered. On this background, it isnecessary to study on the development of Xinchen School so as to summarize itssuccess experience and analyze its problems and difficulties. It not only has theoryvalue and research value for the further development of Xinchen School, but providesreference value for other private schools and sports clubs.The methods of literature consultation, fieldwork, questionnaire method, accessinginvestigation, mathematical statistics and logic analysis were adopted in the paper. Theresearch object of this study is the development model. After investigation andinterview to the school management, coaches, students and customers, the studyconcluded：(1)"the Combination of Sports with Education" and "the Combinationof Sports with Business" being complementary is the core of the development model ofXinchen School;(2)The deletion of talents and the lack of police support is the maindifficulty that Xinchen School faces. After analyzing the development model ofXinchen School, the characteristics of this model are summarized as followed:(1)Highlevel of services and absolute sincerity is the guiding ideology of the development ofXinchen School;(2)Skill herniation and comprehensive development is the basic idea oftalent training;(3) Normative system and perfect incentive is the main policy of staffmanagement;(4)"the Combination of Sports with Education" and "the Combination ofSports with Business" being complementary is the core of the development. And thedifficulties that Xinchen School faces during its development at present:(1)The problemof personnel recruitment and retention system causes the deletion of talents;(2)The rapidgrowth of the operation scale causes operation risk;(3)The lack of policy support causesdependence on own effort for development. According to the difficulties that Xinchen School faces during itsdevelopment, the following suggestions are put forward:(1) Xinchen School shouldstrive for government support for private school;(2) Xinchen School should improve theskill of its management;(3) Xinchen School should establish a perfect employment andtraining system of instructors;(4) Xinchen School should make its own brand strategy.
