Research On The Design Of Adult Online Learning Support System

Content: The 21st century is a new century that views human resources, especially talent resources as the motive force of this age. Enhancing the qualities of all the society members, setting up the lifelong education system and building learning society has become the most powerful voice. Adult, the main part of society, particularly has the strong desire and urgent need to learn. ICT, relying mainly on technology of the network, gives adult more flexible chances of distance learning and training, which has been the chief impetus for adult learning. Different countries have made sustained efforts to develop their adult online learning. Among these, offering good online learning support is the effective method for educators to solve the problems in adult online learning and improving learning quality. Based on this context, my thesis combines learning support service study with adult learning study, researches adult learners' distance online learning, analyzes and designs systematically the learning support for this target (i.e. adult).The principal contents of my research are as follows: analyzing the practical foundation and theoretic basis for the research of adult online learning support, proposing a concept of adult online learning support system (AOLSS), discussing in details about its definition, structure, function and model .etc and outlining its framework, drawing a model of system design, designing the support mechanism, individualized support, online teacher's role and learning platform and so on, and putting forward assessing standard of AOLSS and suggestions about its implementation.
