Gain-loss Cognition And Government Trust On The Influence Of The Migration Intention

With the development of modernization and urbanization in our country, people’s livingstandard rises, urban constructions are improved, all these have made a series ofrequirements to our country. Under the leadership of the communist party and the government,the new rural constructions have been carried out by the people all over the country, the greatsuccess has been achieved. But it also has some problems in the process of the new ruralconstructions. The farmer’s houses have been demolished by some local governments, andsome housing policies that encourage farmers to live in apartment buildings are implementedregardless of the wishes of the farmers. In this paper, on the basis of a lot of researchliteratures at home and abroad on the migration intention, farmers in a residential area inJiansanjiang are selected as the research sample, two variables of the gain-loss cognition andthe government trust are chosen as the main focus point, surveys and depth interviews areadopted as methods, based on all these, an empirical research has been done to study themigration intention and its causal relationship with the two variables.By scales on migration intention designed and SPSS11.5used, the relationship amongthe migration intention, the government trust and the gain-loss cognition as well as theirdimensions are analyzed quantitatively. It has been found that the farmers’ migration intentionin the farm of Heilongjiang province is at a medium level, the same is the government trustand the gain-loss cognition. There was a significant difference in age and marital status aboutthe farmers’ migration intention. The government trust and the gain-loss cognition are relatedsignificantly to the migration intention. The government officer, the public service, thecompensation amount and the current living standard, all these four dimensions can predictthe level of farmers’ migration intention. In this paper, the gain-loss cognition is a mediatorvariable between the migration intention and the government trust, for the lower gain-losscognition group, the more satisfied with the government, the higher migration intentions. Butfor the higher group, the relationship is not significant. The depth interviews further indicatethat the lack of sense of fairness, the inequality between the government and farmers, thedisregard for the right, all these make the level of the government trust decline.
