Competitive aerobics, originated from the traditional fitness movement, havecharacteristics of the mass fitness and its own uniqueness. Competitive aerobics have a setof scoring rules and competition rules of its own. According to the international rules, avariety of competitive aerobics games at different level are well-organized across the world, with the purpose of competition or winning the medals, good appreciation and high artisticquality. China’s competitive aerobics experienced the stages of groping, growing, maturingand the stage of great-leap-forward development. As far as the three people game and sixpeople game are concerned, the current Chinese competitive aerobics team is one of thebest in the world and accomplished many great achievements in the world-classcompetitions in recent years. Obviously, competitive aerobics has become China’sadvantage programs. However, the Chinese competitive aerobics of the mixed double didnot achieve what it is expected to. After analyzing the competition results of the big gamesof the Chinese competitive aerobics of the mixed double, what can be concluded is thateven though there has been a lot of progress in the last few years, however there is still along way to go to win the medals. The research object in the paper is the mixed double game of the11th competitionaerobics tournament in2010and the research methods used in this paper includes: themethod of document literature, expert interview method, video analysis method, comparative analysis method and mathematical statistics method. By comparativelyanalyzing the competitive ability of the competitive aerobics of the mixed double of manycountries and comparatively analyzing and researching the complete set of movements ofChina’s second team and the teams that ranked from first to eight in the11th competitionaerobics tournament in2010from the aspects of movement difficulty, art arrangement andcomplete quality, we can be aware of what we should do to improve the competitive levelof Chinese national team to win the medals in the future. At the same time, we can find therestraining factors encountered in the process of development, propose somecorresponding countermeasures to solve the problem and provide theoretical reference forthe improvement of competitive ability of the Chinese competitive aerobics of the mixeddouble. The main conclusions include:1. From the perspective of the world distribution area, European countries haveoverwhelming advantages over the other countries in terms of the competitive aerobics ofthe mixed double and the competitive ability of Brazil and Russia declined in the last fewyears in the competitive aerobics of the mixed double; Spain, France and Romania have become more competitive in this game; Bulgaria, Italy and South Korea have greatcompetitive power in this game.2. It is concluded that the Chinese national team lags behind the countries a lot thatranked from first to eight in the11th competition aerobics tournament in2010from theaspects of movement difficulty, art arrangement and complete quality.3. In the selection of difficulty movement groups and its quantity, the quantity that theChinese team choose group A and group D is relatively small, the selection of group C isabout the same as the most competitive countries in the world, and the selection of group Bis relatively more than the country that can win medals; the distribution of difficultmovement in the whole set of movement is well balanced; the selection of difficultmovement groups in complete set movement is well balanced too; in the terms ofcombination of difficult movement and the layout lacks innovation; in the selection ofdifficult score, the Chinese team mainly selected0.5and0.6and the total score difficultmovement is6.8, which is much lower compared with the medalist teams in the world.4. In the aspect of whole set movement art layout, the Chinese team selected a varietyof transition and connection movement type and hence it is concluded that a lot of workhas been done for innovation to improve our performance; the movement combinationlayout of the upper extremities is inadequate and much less than the medalist team, and inthe terms of landing times of the lower extremities, there is no obvious disparity betweenthe Chinese team and the medalist teams in the world; in the aspect of diversity of spaceconversion, the type of B-C-B is preferred by the Chinese team, while the use of A-C-Atype is seldom selected, and no team selected the B-A type in the11th competition aerobicstournament in2010; in the selection of dynamic coordination and route diversity, theChinese team lags behind the medalist teams in the world and the whole set of movementlacks innovation and diversity.5. There are some problems in the aspect of the quality of the difficult movement andconsistency for the Chinese national team: difficult movement does not reach thedesignated position, is inaccurate, the degree of aerial swivel is not inadequate, thephenomenon of stealing swivel exists and the control of the standard body posture in theprocess of movement needs to be improved; the consistency of difficult movement is notgood, especially so when compared with the medalist teams in the world in the aspect ofinconsistence of jumping height of the two players.6. The main restraining factors that affect the development of the Chinese nationalteam of competitive aerobics of the mixed double include: firstly, the current managementsystem of competitive aerobics restricts the development of competitive aerobics of themixed double; secondly, the fact that the Chinese female athletes’ strength quality is not good affects the performance of the mixed double; thirdly, the traditional Chineseconception restricts the development of the mixed double; fourthly, the pertinenttheoretical research for the characteristics of the mixed double is far from adequate.
