Football is the first game around the world; it has great influence in China by hundreds ofmillions of people’s attention. Wei Di, Chinese football administration center director saidChinese football has existed six problems when he assumed the post. The fifth is the levelof national football team is very low. He said he can lead them return Asian first-class infive years time. However "level" and "Asian" are abstractions, only international rankingsand the game to relative objectively could reflect the status and level of a team. FIFA wantto development the rationalization of football tournament and coordinate with the conflictbetween club games national games. It developed a set of strict national ranking system inJuly2006. Chinese men’s national football team has lost the right to compete for2014Brazil World Cup. The Olympic team also lost the London Olympic Games and Chinayouth national teams achieved downturn. There are many loopholes in Chinese men’snational football teams’ event planning and the relevant departments have never made surethe strategic management of sport event. The research of this paper based on the twoaspects that are Chinese national football teams’ event planning and events managementstrategy.The study regarded the sport event of Chinese men’s national football teams as its mainobject, using the methods of literature review, mathematical statistics, logic analysis,comparatively analysis, historical research, case analysis, questionnaire investigation,expert interview, hierarchy analysis to narrate the features of the sport event of Chinesemen’s national football teams and introduce the FIFA ranking rules, combined with China’sinternational ranking since2009. It based on the rules of FIFA rankings, analyzing thecondition of Chinese men’s national football team since2009in depth, and discussed thereasons why the rankings of Chinese men’s national football team fell behind others’ andcorresponding countermeasures and methods.In the part of literature review, this dissertation defined of the two important conceptswhich were the sport event planning and strategic management of Chinese men’s footballnational teams. On this basis, it used the methods of questionnaire and expert opinions toformulate the Chinese men’s football national teams event planning and the model of sportevent strategic management. Chinese men’s national football teams’ event plan isformulated by the Chinese Football Association and higher than “China team plan". Itbases on the regulation of world sports laws and regulations such as the FIFA ranking rulesand national team play days in order to enter the various national teams’ world highest level events which were the ultimate goal. It gives full consideration to various events andplayers, league, the club ’s interests, which include all levels of a set of long-term plan suchas Chinese men’s national football teams’ event plans, event management and businessdevelopment. Chinese men’s national football teams’ events’ strategic management processis the a set of event’s decision, convention, action and strategic management pattern for theChinese men’s football team to reach the state of high level event’s qualification, enhanceinternational rankings, improve the players competitive level, run the team and to adapt tothe competition environment that was formulated by Chinese Football Association and therelevant departments. It is a dynamic process which can constantly adapting toenvironmental changes, domestic and international football competition and challenges.The study interpreted the background, reasons and basic requirements of clubbymanagement mode in football national teams and to expound the practices of Chinesefootball national team. The requirements of this mode included that to guarantee thehealthy development of domestic professional league and to create a fair, orderly,competitive atmosphere; national team has excellent management team and the personswho have professional quality of management; National Sport Association make scientificstrategic planning for matches; paying attention to cultivate teenagers, constructing allages’ national team scientifically, exchanging main coach stably; paying attention toteamwork, mining and using the fixed combinations in clubs.The study reviewed the successive failure process of Chinese men’s Olympic football teamsince1992; summarized and analyzed the causes of failure as well as put forward therationalization proposal of Chinese Olympic team’s cultivating mode and event planningwhich include to normalize and optimize the internal and external environment andestablish the cultivation plan of football reserve talents; to employ a variety of cultivatingmode so as to enrich the Olympic age players base; paying attention to the junior worldevents, such as FIFA U-20World Cup and FIFA U-17World Cup; to construct teamscientifically so as to avoid choosing main coach blindly; to make scientific strategicplanning for matches and select targeted friendly opponents; and to strengthen theeducation and discipline of young players finally.Finally the article analyzed the Chinese men’s national football teams’ commercial factorsin the event, which mainly including the commercial factors in the non-commercialcompetition and the national teams’ business competition. Chinese Football Association and the relevant departments could implement the national teams’ commercial competitionmarketing strategy which accord to the six part of marketing of the product or service,price, place, promotion, political power and people in the four aspects which are marketpenetration, market development, productor service extension and diversification so as toreach the Pareto improvement and optimization.
