Research On Structure, Current Situation And Characteristics Of Contemporary Adolescent’ Ideal

Ideal is a mental state that people look forward for something fine by according tothe current situation.It arises and guides people’s activities of behaviors and mental,andembody people’s value.Contemporary adolescent’s ideal invovle in both individualdevelopment and the booming of country,even the whole society.This study carrys out an investigation in4312adolescents of22schools in12provinces throught the means of cluster random sampling,get the results as following:First,established adolescent’ideal questionnaire has ideal reliabiliy and validity,whichhave eight factors concerned:material ideal,morality idea,ideal personality,bodyideal,education ideal,life ideal,occupation ideal and society ideal,so it reflect on thestructure of contemporary adolescent’ideal.Second,contemporary adolescent’s ideal are higher than intermediate level,and thewhole situation is comparably good.On the spcial level,the first placement is life ideal,andfollowed by morality idea,ideal personality,society ideal,education ideal,occupationideal,material ideal,body ideal.Third,contemporary adolescent’s ideal are significant difference among genders,home areas,mother’s educational level,regions,monthly household income,rather thangrades,number of children,father’s educational level and political affiliation.In aword,girl’s ideal is higher than that of boy;the ideal of students who live in city is higherthan that of students in country;the youths who mother have a higher education level,theirideal is higher.Living in eastern region, the adolscents’ideal is higher level.Monthlyhousehold income is3100—4500,the adolscents’ideal is higher level. The most importantis all adolesecnt view the importance and realization of ideal as important and achievable.Fourth,the factors affected adolescent’s ideal are genders,regions and monthlyhousehold income.Among these factors,monthly household income plays a most importantrole.However,their motivation for ideal mainly show in paying attention to family andself,and ignore country and society.
