Article the use of literature, questionnaire, statistics, logicalanalysis and other research methods, based on gymnastics content, features,functions, and gymnastics teaching value analysis, and combined with junior highschool physical and mental characteristics of gymnastics teaching junior highschool physical health, mental health, personal growth and comprehensivedevelopment of the role and value, look at the junior high school students to carryout gymnastics teaching the importance and necessity; from Chengdu,40juniorhigh school sports and health courses in gymnastics teaching situation, analysis ofits gymnastics Teaching problems and their causes, and propose targetedsuggestions. The results show that:(1) most of the the Chengdu junior high schoolphysical education teachers can teach gymnastics action sets, individual action,only a few can not teach;(2) the Chengdu junior high school physical educationteachers to select teaching content in accordance with the curriculum standardsand school teaching conditions, followed by selected according to the fitness valueof the teaching content, select the teaching of gymnastics are freestanding exercise,queue formation, movement skills, equipment gymnastics, the practicalitygymnastics, light instruments gymnastics, support jumps, gymnastics, teachersbelieve that gymnastics the value of teaching a fitness value, educational value, thevalue of educating people, the value of the healthy heart, the correction value andimprove students’ ability to adapt to society;(3) teachers in the teaching ofgymnastics often explain the law, the Model Law, to help law on the protection,synchronization practice law, such as the use of smaller, majority of studentsbelieve that teachers’ teaching methods could be improved; gymnastics (4)teachers for students to master the situation, using the evaluation form followed bythe evaluation of compliance standards, the comparative standard evaluationprocess standards assessment and summary standards for evaluation.(5) the number of teaching venues and equipment, poor quality, low utilization rates.Conclusions and recommendations:(1) Gymnastics content, forms, and easy topopularize, comprehensive and focused exercise the body.
