| Abstract: In recent years, the condition of fitness health of students who are in Primary and Secondary schools shows a trend of gradual decrease in our country, which has caused a widespread concern in society. Hence the Central committee of the Communist Youth League and the General Administration of Sports and the Ministry of Education made a decision together on dec.20,2006. The decision is to carry on "Sunny Sports" among millions of students in various schools in the whole country in depth with the full operation of "Students Fitness Health Standard" from2007. Sunny Sports is a kind of systematic project which can promote the significant development of national school sports career and education. Therefore, various schools have begun to respond to this call in succession and develop colorful Sunny Sports accord to their own actual condition, which has got some effect. However, it has come out many problems during the specific implementation proceeding. Thus, it is more important to do a research about the current situation of "Sunny Sports’"developing in various schools and to draw some relevant conclusions and give relevant suggestions as well.In this paper, eighteen secondary schools in six urban areas of Chengdu were chosen as research objects of Sunshine Sports Movement, and literature reach, questionnaire, interview, and mathematical statistics were mainly adopted. The thesis analyzes thoroughly about the current situation of Sunshine sports in Chengdu middle schools. The main results are as follows:1、To investigate the eighteen secondary schools in six urban areas of Chengdu:(I) High schools in Chengdu have carried out the Sunshine sports;92.6%of the students and55.2%of parents support the Sunshine sports;"The daily exercise an hour" cannot be guaranteed due to the pressure of their studies.(2)All schools set up leading group of sports; the group members is unevenly distributed, and the school for Sunshine sports publicity is onefold, inadequate.(3)84.3%of the PE teachers is the bachelor degree, and they still need to strengthen their professional skills; the sports ground equipment has improved, but improvement is not enough, and92.9%of the special funds has not been greatly improved.(4)The main form of conducting Sunshine sports is physical education class teaching;17.1%of the schools exist the phenomenon of Physical and Health Education was diverted, and the sports teaching is mainly on modern sport, emerging and traditional sports is less.(5)The cooperation of the sport activities for youth between schools, communities and families is not necessary, and the safety precautionary measures are mainly on propaganda education and full guidance, lack of self-protection.(6)64.7%of schools have established Sunshine sports movement’s monitoring agencies, but it is failed to give full play to the specific function effect; only37.1%of schools carry out the competition of "Sunshine Sports Star".2、The factors affecting conducting the Sunshine sports in the eighteen secondary schools in six urban areas of Chengdu are:(1) there is too much pressure on students, and they are lack of subjective exercise will.(2)The school leaders do not value it.(3)Supervision and incentive system needs to be improved.(4)The publicity is onefold, inadequate.(5)The form of sports is single and old.(6)The school teachers, venues and equipment are scarce.(7)The security measures are not perfect.(8)The degree of social cooperation is not enough.In order to be able to carry out "Sunny Sports" better, the paper makes the following recommendations:1、Put the curriculum reform as the starting point to reduce the pressure of students.2、Expand the opinion propaganda, and perfect the organization and leadership.3、Improve the physical education teachers’ quality and faculty itself.4、 Increase the funds investment and make the security of location equipment.5、enrich the organization form and contents of courses.6、strengthen the social cooperation and enhance the safety awareness.7、Perfect the supervisory mechanism and incentive mechanism. |
