| National ministry of education issued Criteria of General Senior High School Chinese Curriculum(experiment version) in April,2003, which divided high school Chinese curriculum into two parts-compulsory course and elective course. What is more, the criteria asserted a more explicit claim to elective course’s conception, design, object as well as teaching. Elective course’s establishment has made an unprecedented breakthrough. However, series of problems has been exposed in the implementation process, deserving being thought deeply about.By means of investigating the carrying out situation of Chinese elective course in Shangluo’s5general senior high school(Manchuan high school, Zhenan high school, Luonan high school, Shanyang high school and shangnan high school), and analyzing the impediments they are facing with, this paper tries to offer some beneficial proposals to the exploitation and implementation of general senior high school Chinese elective course.This paper consists of four parts.Introduction. It introduces the origins, background and the significance of this paper. It also includes proposition research summarization, research mentality as well as this paper’s innovation.Summarization of elective course. According to the Criteria, it simply discusses elective course’s background concept, curriculum design, object and content.The investigation and analysis about elective course’s implementation in Shangluo. This chapter is mainly based on questionnaire and interview, combining the analysis by statistical software, it analyses the reorganization, establishment, teaching and learning, evaluation and teaching material situation in high school Chinese elective course implementation.The existing problems in high school Chinese elective course and the effective solutions to them as well. In view of investigation, analysis, and interview, this chapter summarizes the problems exposed in those five schools’Chinese elective course implementation process. Simultaneously, combining the opinions from teachers and students, this chapter tries to give some advice from five aspects.1. Enhance people’s understanding level about elective course from consolidating its position, designing course rationally, and dealing with the relationship between elective course and compulsive course properly.2. Improve facilities of elective course.3. Enhance teacher’s professionalism from transforming teacher’s role, optimizing teaching staff, changing traditional teaching method and enriching teaching content.4. To diversify the evaluation from evaluation content diversification, evaluation subject diversification as well as evaluation method diversification.5. Optimize resource exploitation of elective course.The design of Chinese elective course is one of the highlights in high school curriculum reform, however, it is still in a development stage which is seen in the research. The author hopes that this paper would present some practicable opinions upon the design of Chinese elective course, so that Chinese elective course could be implemented in an all-round way and accomplish its intended purpose. |
