Physical concept is the essential attribute of the objective things in reflection of people’s mind; it also is the abstract results of physical things. The core of the physics teaching is to make the students understand, form and grasp physical concepts and rules in physics, and in the process to develop their cognitive ability. As an important branch of concept teaching, there have been many basic research literatures about physics concept teaching, but not a lot of research combines the teaching process and the teaching strategies of physical concept. In fact, using a strategy in a certain section of the physical concept teaching in classroom may be just teaching clips, and that other parts of the teaching content should be how to do it. So teachers should use teaching strategies on the basis of ensuring the complete process of classroom teaching, which means that the teaching process and teaching strategies are combined, so as to promote the effectiveness of concept teaching to optimize.The thesis is founded on the former achievements and guided by pedagogy and psychology. Some research is done about the physics concept teaching in light of the problems existing in the physics concept teaching at present. Some propositions are raised. The thesis is made up of six sections. In the first section, the background of research and theoretical foundation are introduced. In the second section, the definition of the physical concepts is explained. The features of physics concepts are analyzed and the importance of physics concept teaching is elaborated. The third section is about the teaching research of physics concept in middle school. First of all, the requirement of physics concept teaching and the main factors that affect students to form conception are analyzed, and then the author investigates and analyzes the status of physics concept teaching in middle school. The investigation is divided into two parts:questionnaire and interview. Through the investigation, it has a certain understanding about the present situation of physics concept teaching in middle school. The forth section is about the process and the strategies of physics. The process of concept teaching can be divided into five segments:leading concept, forming concept, distinguishing concept, wielding concept and consolidating concept. Teachers should use various methods to lead new concept cleverly on basis of the knowledge which students have learnt, and help students learn and form concepts. In order to let students understand the intention of physics concepts and distinguish the extension of physics concepts, teachers should guide them to compare resemblant concepts and close concepts to find out the relationship and the distinction between concepts. Teachers should also reveal the contradictories inside physics concepts and grasp the intrinsic characteristic of physics concepts in order to make students understand and define the meaning of physics. Teachers should guide students to analyze and solve realistic problems and encourage them to sum up the concepts that they have learnt frequently for the purpose of ensuring students can grasp the concepts and put them into use cleverly. Based on the process of physics concept teaching, the author puts forward the following strategiesr(1) Rational use of analogy strategy (2) The use of logic program analysis strategy (3) The strategy of using variable type teaching method (4) The strategy of using classified teaching method. This article expounds the meaning of the four teaching strategies, the methods to implementation and operation, and the precautions, respectively. Then, combined with the physical concept teaching process and physical concept teaching strategy, it gives a teaching case. The fifth section is the experimental research. It elaborates the purpose of the experiment, experimental methods and the experimental process. The experimental results are analyzed from two aspects:pretest and posttest, questionnaire, and then form the conclusion. The sixth section elaborates the conclusions of this study, as well as the lack of the research. Through the research, the author has drawn three conclusions.1. The research on the physics concept teaching process and physical concept teaching strategy can help teachers to carry out teaching reasonably and improve the effectiveness of teaching.2. On the basis of designing the teaching process carefully, using the concept teaching strategies can effectively improve the teaching quality of physical concept, promote students to construct concept deepen the understanding and application of concepts.3. Carrying out the teaching process and the teaching strategies can not only improve the students’understanding of concepts, but also help to improve students’learning interest and learning awareness. It is beneficial to develop students’knowledge, ability and emotion.
