| The teenagers are the future and hope of our country. The burdens of nation’s revitalization all rely on them. Middle school students are in the important period of transition of life. And the middle school stage is the important period for the youth to learn knowledge and forming perfect personality. Being executives and one of the main bodies of education, middle school history teachers bear heavier responsibility. To cultivate high-quality, high-level students, history teachers in middle schools need to improve their comprehensive quality, upgrade the teaching skills, to enable students to become competent in many aspects, such as moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic aspects. But for many reasons, there are still some shortcomings of the middle school history teachers’ quality. Although there are a number of outstanding high school history teachers, but as a result of the historical discipline in minor position, very few people interested in history teaching methods. Influenced by traditional thoughts, some middle school history teachers only pay attention to the teaching tasks, ignoring the students personality and other aspects of culture during teaching; some teachers still focus on war and the dynasties of teaching, and neglect the content of the social development and people’s living level; in some schools in remote areas, history teachers are not standard in quantity, not to mention the quality. There are often10classes in a grade, but only1to2history teachers to teach them; in developed large and medium-sized city, situation is relatively better, but some teachers still are lack of awareness on history education importance. Based on such situation, this article makes discussion on the question of the cultivation and promotion of middle school history teachers’ qualities. The structure of this article is:Introduction:making a brief review of China’s ancient history and education, points out that history is an important part of education all the time. Then through the review of modern history education, present the problems we are facing, to point out the importance of history education. Based on questions of history teachers team leads to the topic. Meanwhile, briefly introduces the connotation and components of teachers’ quality. On the basis of it, this part making further study on middle school history teachers’qualities. Chapter One to Five:follow the previous chapter, this part discusses all the aspects of middle school history teachers’qualities.
