Teachers’ authority, a hot topic in recent years, is also a public issue had long troubled the education researchers and teachers group, especially a comprehensive investigate to the main reason about the rebellions against the authority of teachers’ and the research about some effective strategies to construct teachers’ authority, these questions both theory researchers need to be take care of, and also need to solve in practiceThe first chapter, is the introduction part of this research, describes the reasons for selecting this topic, the research questions, research methods and some descriptions of case field. The second chapter discusses what is teachers’ authority, the source of teachers’ authority, the constituent elements of teacher authority, the necessity of teachers’ authority, and the nature of the teachers’ authority influence. The third chapter is the analysis of the phenomenon that students rebellions actions to teachers’authority by the case form the fieldwork The main findings are as flowing: the rebellion actions against the teachers’ authority are not as easy as we usually understand that the gender factors affecting the construction of authority. The last part of this chapter examines three main reasons about the rebellion actions of teachers’ authority. They are the unreasonable punishment; unreasonable positioning to the class organization and some social behavior that the against teachers’ image. The fourth chapter puts forward to idea that we want to rebuild the authority of the teachers’. To achieve this goal we have to make the teachers’ authority transit from "recognition" teachers’ authority to "identity" of the teachers’ authority, through the analysis is we found an important mechanism namely social exchange mechanism in the process of this transition, and then from the teachers’ individual psychological level and classroom everyday interaction level I put forward some strategies about the construction and maintenance of the teachers’ authority. From the individual psychological level, a comprehensive self role the teacher wants to form, success and failure attribution, a good self-efficacy is very important. From classroom daily interaction level, the teachers should establish a good relationship between teachers and students, strive to be equal to every student, democratic consultation is the best way to solve the contradiction, use to persuade students more this most easy accept way by students, and the use of praise the best choice. On the basis of the previous research, the author in the fifth chapter of this study is aimed to carry out on the boundaries between teachers’ authority and the freedom of students’. The author thinks that teachers’ authority and students’ freedom must keep certain tension, at the same time teachers’ authority also need to safeguard the freedom of students’, it requires teachers, students and society as well as a variety of measures such as education legislation to work together.
