The problem of left-behind children is a prominent social problem in recent years. Withthe rapid development of China’s socio-political and economic, more and more young farmersinto the cities, so produced a special group of minors in the vast rural——left-behind children.The left-behind children are growing and developing in a critical period, they can not get thewhole guide and help of parents’ thinking and understanding and values, their growing lack ofattention and care on the parents’ emotion, easily generate the exception of psychologicaldevelopment, make their learning on the drag and the unsatisfactory results. Therefore, thepurpose of this study is through investigationand analysis, study the relations of parenting styleand resilience and academic procrastination,to help the families to educate children and providea theoretical basis of education intervention for educators.This study selected503Meizhou Dapu County junior high school students in ruralschoolsas subjects, conducted a questionnaire survey.Through statistical analysis, have the followingconclusions:(1)Emotional warmth is the most used way of parents in parenting styles.(2)Parental preference and emotional warmth and understanding is a key factor to reducethe academic procrastination.(3)Different sexes of the left-behind children’s adaptability is consistent,but in general,the resilience in boys is better than girls.(4)The overall level of academic procrastination of the boys is higher than girls.(5) Parents’ emotional warmth and understanding and concern is the most critical factorsto improve the resilience of left-behind children in the family education.(6)Parents’ severe punishment is the most critical factor to hinder the resilience ofleft-behind children in the family education.(7)There is a certain positive correlation in their general delay and resilience, the studentsof high resilience can actively handle and deal with their academic procrastination, and furtherimprove their resilience.(8)Resilience play an intermediary role delaybetween the parenting styles and resilienceand academic procrastination.
