Recently, with the profound and widespread application of IT in education, theexisting knowledge, teaching ideas, ways of study and so on of teachers, especiallythe ones in rural remote areas, cannot meet the requirements of New CurriculumReform of Basic Education. And only if they study constantly, especially based onnetwork environment, can their professional skill be developed and catch up with thestep of educational informationization. Now, while the National Training Plan iswell under way, all the normal colleges are developing lots of quality courses and webbased curriculums one after another based on network environment targeted toteachers, especially elementary and secondary school teachers, to improve theprofessional development of teachers.In this occasion, the College of Education Technology and Communications ofNWNU designs and develops more than50web based curriculums targeted toelementary and secondary school teachers of remote areas, which include four majorcategories (the teaching information technology base, instructional theory, teachingand research ability, practice teaching) and covers contents of teaching resourcesintegration technology, instructional design, experimental research and so on, with thepurpose of improving the teaching skills of teachers in remote areas. And now theseweb based curriculums are put into use. Then what are the conditions of the webbased learning of mid-career teachers, their characters of network learning behavior,study effects, problems and the related reasons and so on? Targeted to these problems,this paper studies with literature review, content analysis, the investigation, theinterview method, etcFirstly, this paper puts forwards the background, objective, contents, methodsand significance of this study based on analyzing literatures and summarizing theresearch situation of similar subjects at home and abroad.Secondly, this paper combs the related theories and elaborates the directivefunctions of them.Thirdly, this paper analyzes the concept, connotation and features of the networklearning behavior and summarizes the concrete classes of it according to relatedresearch, so as to lay the foundation for further study. Fourthly, with the example of learning behaviors data of mid-career teachers whohave studied the Learning Science and Technology recorded by the Moodleplatform, this paper studies the network learning behaviors of them and existingproblems with observation and content analysis.At last, targeted to these problems, this paper summarizes the reasons of themand proposes related strategies with the mid-career teachers who have joined the studyas objects of investigation and interview...
