In recent years, with the extension of enrollment in higher schools,graduates’ employment has increasingly been concerned commonly bystudents themselves, their parents and the whole society. As we know,vocational education is becoming the major educational pattern in today’shigher education, so it must play an active role in improving people’s lifeand promoting employment, facing up to the increasing employmentstructural contradiction. In the new historical stage, vocational schoolsshould connect employment with talents’ cultivation, to makeemployment work become a systematic one, to make cultivated talentsmeet society’s needs and in the end to bring into their positive play. This essay is divided into five parts with six chapters. In chapter one,the background and meanings of this research, domestic and foreignsituations and contents and ways of this research are introduced. Thetheoretical foundation of employment is analyzed in chapter two. Inchapter three, present employment situations in vocational schools aredeeply analyzed, combined with Natong’s. Enlightenment is obtained inchapter four, including cooperation with enterprises and building anall-the-procedure employment guiding pattern by referring to foreigntheories and practices. Main managing problems of employment inChina’s vocational schools are analyzed in chapter five, that is, lacking atimely educational system, double qualified teachers and working systemof Production, Education&Research, and funds. In chapter six,strategies’ research is conducted, stressing that the educational idea basedon employment and a new pattern of skill-type talents’ cultivation interms of enterprises should be positively pushed on, and vocationaldevelopment education should be strengthened, to improve graduates’employment completely and to bring into play government’s activefunction in employment.This essay aims to offer references to the present employmentreform and innovation of vocational schools, and to promote collegestudents’ harmonious development.
