Occupational values, as part of value system, have all the attributes of the generalvalues and interact with it.The students of three national vocational schools in Zhuhai city are researched inthis investigation, which took “vocational value scale” designed by Super and laterrevised by Weiwei Ning in1992, as testing tools. A questionnaire survey is conductedstratified random sampling among900students to collecting887valid questionnaires.And the survey result is analyzed with spss11.5statistical software.The investigation suggests generally that the vocational values the students ofvocational school are apt to attach more importance to respectively are:“Thesupervision relationship”、“lifestyle”、“sense of achievement” and “colleaguerelations”; and the vocational values they pay lees attention are respectively:“mobility”、“supervision”、“Intellectual stimulation”、“independence”and“creativity”;Different angles such as gender, family pattern (whether the student issingle child or not), family income, Grade, living background (country or city) andschool classification and so on were analyzed by T-test. And part of vocational valueshad significant difference in family with different income, different grades, differentschools, and different living background.A discussion was held to conclude that the main factors affecting vocationalvalues in vocational schools are: social impacting factors, schooling factors, familybackground factors, personal factors. Social impacting factors consist of the impact ofsocial values and social Occupation standard; schooling factors include education ofgraduate student career plan and moral education; family background factors containfamily education, and personal factors reflect gender, interest, personality and ability.For the cause of vocational values of vocational school students, a thinking anddiscussion are also done to cultivate vocational values of vocational school studentsthrough creating a social environment beneficial to the formation of vocational valuesto strengthen the school education playing a leading role, and through the strategyinspired by Home-school partnership.
