There is something in common for the performance assessment system ofsecondary vocational school and the primary and secondary schools, differences stillexists. But comparing to them, health vocational school has more differences. Atpresent, it is difficult to find any relative articles about health vocational school’sperformance assessment. This study aims at building a system of performance-basedpay system suitable for secondary vocational school and finding some practical waysfor personnel system reform and setting an important basis for the employment ofteachers, the allocation of performance-based pay, the promotion of grade and theselection for the teachers in these schools. At the same time, it is very significant toencourage the teachers and promote the teachers’ professional development.The paper, through analysing the working characteristic of secondary healthvocational schools, the requirements for the teachers and the existing problems in suchschools, with the reference of the reaserch findings of performence evaluation at homeand abroad, as well as some successful experience in traditional ways, selectes out fivekey valuation standards in the way of questionnaire survey. They are teachers’ ehics,teaching work, education work, reaserch and reform of education and industryassociation. By analytic hierarchy process, it also confirms the evaluating coefficient forthese key standards and builds a set of performence evaluation system for secondaryhealth vocational school. Chongqing Medical and Health School is used to apply andtest the system.The experiment of the system in Chongqing Medical and Health School has provedthat the detailed measures and standards will greatly affect the assessment results. It isnecessary to find out the right ways according to the overall goal of the school, thedifferent stages of development and the concrete requirment for the teachers. Of coures,this study still needs to improve by more practice and consideration.
