Teachers are one of the key factors relating to the success or failure of the basiceducation curriculum reform.Teaching ability is the basis of teachers’ implementationof quality education.Therefore, raising the level of teachers’ teaching ability is animportant guarantee for educational reform.Higher Normal College should providequalified teachers for basic education, and must face the new requirements of thecurriculum reform of it.To information technology education in primary andsecondary schools, the primary task is to improve the IT curriculum teaching abilityof the Educational Technology Normal College Students. This study based on theaccess to documents and the related research results,cleared that the basicrequirements of new curriculum reform for IT teachers,and builded the structure ofthe IT teachers’ teaching ability in the context of the new curriculum.
