In order to improve the quality of our country’s higher education and the overallstrength, the Department of Education began to carry out a project on the teachingquality and teaching reformation in the universities. And the excellent course, whichis considered as the main start program of the project, was widely put into effect allover the country from the beginning of2003. Its aim is to drive the improvement ofteaching quality of all universities in China by establishing and sharing the resourcesof the excellent courses. After years of preparation, there were over three thousandkinds of courses were evaluated as the national excellent courses by the end of2010,and all these excellent courses greatly enriched the network curriculum resources.The purpose of constructing the excellent course is to improve the quality ofcollege teaching, to promote the teaching reform and then improve the quality oftraining talents by sharing the excellent teaching resources. At present, many excellentcourses originated from different subjects and majors have been finished and havebeen used in practice already. The appearance of these excellent courses has potentialadvantages in the creation of class teaching model and in the changes of students’learning methods.Teaching Design is a new practical subject which came into being and developedgradually since the1960s and is taken as the important branch in the field ofeducation technology. As the core course in the system of education technologysubject, Teaching Design takes problem solving and optimizes the learning process asthe purpose. With the gradual development and application in the teaching filed of theinformation technology which takes the multimedia and network technology as thekey points, Teaching Design, the important research field of the education technology,has attracted more and more attention and concern.The first excellent course on Teaching Design came into being in2004, after thatthere were9excellent courses on Teaching Design were conducted successively andrealized sharing for free by the means of the Internet, they provided excellent learningresources for the education technology major students.Because of the influence of many factors, such as the poor learning base, thesingle learning method and the lack of learning ability, the students in normal university for nationalities have a bad learning effect in traditional classroom learning.Therefore, the problems such as poor learning initiation, poor self-control ability,weak learning motivation and less interesting in learning are the most difficult tasksfor the teachers.The paper is based on the analysis of the constructing situation to the excellentcourse resources of Teaching Design, combined the learning characteristic of thestudents in normal university for nationalities and put forward the blended learningpattern and its implementation strategies based on the resources of the excellentcourse and fitted the learning characteristic of the students in normal university fornationalities. The paper hopes to provide some reference for perfecting the students’learning method and improving their learning effects. The main research process andchapters of the paper are shown as following:The first chapter is introduction, which mainly introduce the background,purpose, significance, process and method of the research and the structure of thepaper.Chapter two is about the definition of relative concepts and the introduction oftheoretical foundation. The main contents are some concepts and theories connectedwith the research, such as the definition of excellent course, learning method and soon, and also the introduction of constructivism, teaching design, blended learning andlifelong learning theory, etc.Chapter three mainly studies the present constructing situation of the excellentcourse resources of Teaching Design and paves the way for the further study.Chapter four mainly studies the learning situation of students in normaluniversity for nationalities on the Teaching Design using the traditional method andanalyzes some problems and phenomenon existed in the learning process.Chapter five is the core part of the paper. The chapter mainly studies the designand practice of the blended learning pattern based on the Teaching Design, providesthe idea, principle, strategy and evaluated criterion of designing the learning patternand introduces the process of practicing in details.Chapter six mainly studies application effect and evaluation methods of blendedlearning pattern based on the excellent course resources. Chapter seven mainly states of the research conclusion, and explains theunsolved problems existed in the study so as to do relevant researches in the future.In the process of conducting the research, the author summarizes the experiencesand shortcomings timely and improves the relevant experiment elements according toimplementation of the course, all these ensure the success of the experimentalresearch.
