Modern society is in demand of talents of high quality, while talent trainingdepends on education, which mainly happens in classroom. With people paying moreattention to our classroom as well as asking for efficiency from mathematics classes, wemathematics teachers’ teaching behavior especially the way we teach attracts moreattention. Our professional knowledge and experience are reflected in our appliedteaching methods, which means different teaching methods may affect students’understanding of the learning material.Modern classrooms are equipped with multimedia technology, which greatlyinfluenced our teaching methods. Multimedia technology integrates students’ sense ofvision, listening and touch, enriching students’ direct experience and perceptualknowledge and changing mathematics teaching means as well as methods, whicheventually leads to the change of teaching behavior. The features of mathematicsteachers’ teaching behavior with the application of multimedia technology has become afocus of the current education. Therefore, this thesis mainly focuses on the study ofmathematics teachers’ teaching behavior with the application of multi-media technology, which is hoped to eventually improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.Different research methods are used in this thesis, that is, literature analysis, questionnaire, classroom observation and so on. First of all, the author analyzes thepresent situation of domestic and foreign teachers’ teaching behavior, which serves asthe basis of the research. Secondly, different teaching behaviors are classified accordingto the contents of the newly-taught lessons and the languages used. Thirdly, on thisbasis, the author summarizes the advantages of the teaching behavior with theapplication of multi-media technology. Finally, data collected from the questionnaire ofmathematics teachers are analyzed, in the hope of finding out the possible factors that affect mathematics teachers’ teaching behavior. Taking “plane vector theorem” as anexample, the author compares two different class patterns, the traditional class andmultimedia class, and clarifies the applied strategies of mathematics teachers’ teachingbehavior with the application of multi-media technology.Through the research found that though the majority of mathematics teachers doadopt multi-media teaching methods as an auxiliary, there exist many problems duringthe teaching process. Some teachers think it not necessary to fully prepare teachinglanguages with the help of multi-media courseware. What they need to do is just readingthe lines in the courseware. Others even believe since everything is ready in thecourseware, playing courseware is all they need to do. Accordingly, the author putforward some teaching strategies with the application of multi-media technology. Theyare as follows: we mathematics teachers should make full use of the platform ofmultimedia, but not completely rely on it; we should use the multimedia reasonably andfind the precise entry point according to the teaching contents without using multimediaduring the whole class; we also should use accurate, concise, and vivid teachinglanguages when teaching. In a word, with all the students taken into consideration, weshould make a flexible use of multimedia and combine multimedia application withteachers’ analysis so as to optimize our teaching methods.
