The Effect By Interference Of Social Work On Domestic Violence

The Domestic Violence in China is keeping growing year on year. There are morethan30%of the housewives among267million families in China suffered from DomesticViolences. There are25%of the400thousands families suffering with Domestic Violenceleads to broken families. Domestic Violence also becomes the3rdreason for the younghousewives to commit suicide and killed themselves in the rural countryside in ourcountry. It started to see by taking professional actions of Social work to intervent andinterfere on the Domestic Violence in China is effective and also had special and positivesignificance in helping out the problem.This dissertation is based on empirical research based on2Domestic Violence cases.Working out and evaluate the effect of Social Worker’s interfering in the behaviours ofHusbands and Wives in the Domestic Violence. Gaining the feedback from and observingthe cases where Social Workers interfered and helped, through analysis on the situation ofthe persons in the cases and also analysing the situation in the cases where the socialworker intervented.The study and research has very clear procedure where the Social Worker interventsand interferes in the mentioned2cases. For example, analyse on the the main peoplesinformation in the case, to set the goal and make the action plan, coaching on the peoples,close the case and evaluation on the case etc which work through the case withsophisticated means. It proved that the social workers intevention and interference hadhelped improve and ease the problem in the Domestic Violences. The importance by theSocial Work are as following.Firstly, it proved a good tool to interfere on the Domestic Violence by usingprofessional Social Work methods. Eg Separate Case Work, Roll Play, Drawing Rleaseetc. which to be applied during the face to face coaching where approperiate. The timing in between telephone and face to face interviews are delicately planned, also the contentsto talk about are basically with sophistical professional skills, and specific goals were setto be achieved for each interview. The model of crisis intervention, task centered model、SAS、DA、CTS are also used.Secondly, the Professional Theory and Vision of Value for Social Work contributetoo. Widly applying with the ways of accepting, respecting personalisation, trust andself-determining as well as keeping informed and consentment, confidentialty, nocriticising. By doing so, not only the Social Worker gained the trust and respect from thepersons in the Domestic Violence cases, but also gained the respect from our society.Thirdly, Listening and empathy、 Positive meaning、 Social support、Empowerment、 Self-determination are used as professional social work skills.Forthly, from the study and research we find out that Person in situation、 Cognitivebehavioral therapy、the view of Sex and the Priority in our society can be one theguidance for the social workers to think of ways of how they could work better and be oneof the guidelines to implement their work. And this dissertation focuses on DomesticViolence where Social Work in China is seldom touched nowadays.
