Early childhood education is the foundation of basic education and the beginning of lifelong education,and it is also an important part of the national education system.High-quality early childhood education has a very important value and far-reaching significance to promote overall healthy development of individuals in the early years,consolidate and improve the quality and benefits of nine-year compulsory education,and raise the overall quality of the citizens and so on.Now,there are some outstanding issues in our early childhood education,for example,less financial investment,low penetration,uneven development,lack of supervision,teacher-child ratio does not meet the regulations,early childhood education quality assurance system is imperfect and so on,which are all obstruct our pre-school children to receive quality education.The National Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020) has been released in2010,it puts early childhood education in an very important place,which sets off the development of early childhood education and the reform of early childhood education boom across the whole country.In recent years,Australia is also conducting a series of reforms to promote the national penetration rate of early childhood education and improve the quality of early childhood education and cre.The author hopes to find some good advices through researching the Australian early childhood education and care reform.The paper mainly uses literature analysis and comparative research methods.Firstly,the author makes a literature review on previous research on the Australian early childhood education and care to define the direction of her own research furtherly.Then translates and analyzes lots of literature information to know the history of the development context of Australian early childhood education and care and understand what it was before the reform.And then,analyzes the reasons for the reform briefly,describes the policy and progress of Australian early childhood education and care reform in detail,makes a brief summary of the characteristics of the reform.At last,the author briefly describes the current development and problems of our early childhood education,summarizes the inspiration from Australian early childhood education and care reform to ours.
