With the further reform and opening, the market economy system is developing and there are many kinds of values. These characteristics directly affect all aspects of people’s lives, and they also influence the current high vocational students’ professional value orientation in some extent. At present, high vocational students’ professional values show four features:professional needs to highlight the strong self-consciousness; the standards to judge the professional values tend to be realistic and concrete; the orientation of the professional values are diversity and complexity; the way to realize the professional values is diversity. The professional values education of high vocational colleges helps to enhance the students’ comprehensive quality and solve the employment problem. It also can be the effective means to main the order in the school, develop the campus culture, and optimize the allocation of human resources.According to the survey, there are some problems in professional values education of high vocational colleges, as follows:the curriculum system is incomplete, the teachers’ ability in practicing is insufficient, the combination of the school, the family and society are not good, and people are worried about the implementation of the professional values.In order to promote the high vocational colleges to carrying out professional values education, the schools should achieve the changing of three ideas:from "teacher centered education" to "students-centered education"; from "unified education" to "personality education"; from "isolation" to "unity". In the realization of the ideas’changing, the schools should follow four principles:the combining of theory teaching and practice teaching; the combining of the professional values education and professional skill education; the combining of the dominant occupation values and individual values; the combining of the general education and the individual counseling.Based on the investigation, the researcher puts forward the strategy to promoting high vocational college to developing the professional values education, combining the current high vocational students’ physical and mental characteristics. The strategy are:carrying out the professional values education thoroughly; improving the professional values education course system; strengthening the features of campus culture for the professional values education; building the comprehensive professional values education for the school, the society and the family.
