In order to promote education quality, basic education curriculum reform of China putsmore attention to "people-oriented" education with the final purpose of cultivating newtalents, possessing development potentials of innovative spirit, scientific quality, practicalability and environmental awareness as well as basic knowledge, skills and methods ofadapting to lifelong learning. Under influences of the new idea, teachers worry to change thepresent situation of putting too much emphasis on passive learning, mechanical memorizingand training, and all kinds of new teaching methods appear. It is generally believed that theteaching method of “lecture method” is equal to "cramming method of teaching", andpresently it can not adapt to the need of new curriculum reform, the existence of which is notnecessary. Scholars currently are launching a heated discussion for “lecture method”.The rationality and validity of “lecture method” has been discussed theoretically in thispaper. Based on them, a series of comparison research, in the same topic, of the teachingpractice, for different level-awarded outstanding subjects and good subjects, have also beenmade, and they have already been executed from four factors including teaching time,frequency, opportunity and strategy in appraisal activities of high quality subjects ofchemistry in HeBei. These researches can provide practical directions for working teachersand can be used for improving their “lecture method”.The paper involves eight parts: The origin, purpose, and significance of the research arefirst introduced. Current research situation of the teaching method is analyzed in second part.Theoretical basis of the method is elaborated in third part providing theoretical support forthe research. The fourth part, the research on the design to determine the object of study ofthis topic, method and content. In fifth part, the research of high quality lecture teaching forhigh school chemistry is carried out, and a comparative study about the outstanding class andthe good class subject for the same subject also is made from the four aspects of teachingtime, frequency, opportunity and strategy, and different teaching classroom teachers about thebehavior in the contents of the chemical characteristics are analyzed.Part six, about thequality on the high school chemistry classroom teaching cases are studied. In seventh partsome conclusions and shortages are discussed. Based on the study, some suggestions areprovided for the chemistry teaching of middle school in the last part.
